As a feature of Stoughton’s Fall Destination Weekend, the Edvard Grieg Chorus of Madison will be performing at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday October 26,  in the auditorium at Livsreise.  They are an all-male choral ensemble that performs Norwegian, sacred, and secular choral pieces. The Edvard Grieg Chorus takes its name from the famous Norwegian composer, and many of his compositions are included in their repertoire. The Chorus was founded. on January 26, 1925. Its purpose today has remained the same as that of the founding group of Norwegian immigrants: “To preserve and share the choral music and traditions they brought with them from Norway.”
