Rasmus Sunde, is a Norwegian historian and author. He is was born in Vik, in Jølster and settled in Balestrand . Sunde has Ph.d. in emigration history, and is Associate Professor at Høgskolen in Sogn og Fjordane. Sunde has write several books about emigration history. He is leading a group from Norway to the Midwest in July. The participants are retracing the steps of their ancestors from Sogn as they came to America.
