There are many famous and beautiful places and areas in Norway, that tens of thousands of tourists visit every year.

Our speaker, Finn Brobakken of Snertingdal, a small valley, not so far from Lake Mjøsa, 40 miles south of Lillehammer (and even closer to Stoughton’s sister city of Gjøvik) will talk about some of the smaller and almost unknown places you can find on your next trip to Norway.

In case you missed his last presentation at Livsreise in the Fall of 2016, here’s an updated short bio he provided:

“I am 66 years old, I have two grown children and four grandchildren. I live on a small farm called Steinsrud, that has been in my family since 1875.

I have retired after 30 years in construction and the last 10 years as a postman in my valley. I have been a volunteer firefighter for 19 years, and I am in National Guard (Heimevernet) for 18 years.

I`m a member of SoN in Hamar, and for the last 6 years I have been in charge of local Historical Society Lodge in my home valley.”
